I have been told many of times, " your not normal." And I'll tell you why. I hate summer. Don't get me wrong, I love flowers, the sun, swimming, being outside, but I can't take the heat. I hate it. I mean HATE it. If I could, I'd live some where where it snowed all year round. Or the high in the 60's. Does a place like that really exist?

Now today it's 79 and sunny with a nice breeze. I just walked down the street and around the corner to get some milk and I'm ready to die. I feel like I'm melting. I hate it and I'm ready to hook up the ac. It's only April 7...how am I going to make it until Oct? Confused

Well this is my grump for the day. I want it to snow !!! Crying or Very sad

I've really been chuckling to myself reading your post. I've been moaning all week as the weather here is windy and drizzly! I'll swap you! We're desperate for some sun here LOL We're off to the inlaws tomorrow who live by the coast, but it's not much fun if the weather isn't that great!

I'd offer Minnesota....but that would only work for fall/winter/spring. Between June 1st and Sept. 1st (appprox.) we hit 85-90* too many times to count.

I feel like I could have written your post! I enjoy certain activities in the summer (pool, park, beach, etc...) but the heat and humidity are for the birds! And I live in Georgia! It has been in the mid 80's here for about a week and I'm like you-how am I going to make it through the summer if it's only April and already 80? Help me!

I am the opposite to you. I can't handle the cold. I dread winter and having to put heaps of clothes on and turn heaters on and all the ice......brrrrr.

I hate it when it gets below 25 degrees (celsius) which is about 77 fahrenheit. We are coming into winter here soon and I am hoping that we will be able to move north before then where it is warmer so I don't have to last another winter here.

This is me to a T... I absolutely HATE, HATE, HATE winter, and cannot wait to move south (4 more years).... I have told my husband my only requirements for a retirement location is I have to be able to get to the ocean w/in an hour or so and I have to be able to grow a palm tree in my yard year-round....

I HATE winter, or anything cold, or too hot!!!!!! I wish it was 75, partly sunny with a slight breeze, all year! That would be perfect for me!! Maybe a bit to warm for the kids but perfect for me! It's been upper 80's here this last week and I'm seriously freakin out! I can't imagine what July and Aug is going to be like! My electric bill is going to be outrageous! Smile))

You're CRAZY girl!!!! Laughing
We should just go ahead and switch homes - I LOVE the heat! If I could live in a 100 degrees all year round, I would. The highest we've ever been is 95, and that happens maybe twice during a whole summer - if we're lucky..

If you're not normal, then I'm not either! I HATE the heat! I grew up in Greece, and spent at least 3 months a year sitting with as little clothes as possible, with a spray bottle of water and hugging the fan. Now I've moved to the UK, and the nr 1 question most people ask me is "Don't you miss the weather?" I LAUGH in their face *LOL*

My favourite weather is cold (but not freezing cold) and windy. But I easily prefer winter over summer.

I was going to tell you to move to NY, but then I realized you do live in NY! Too funny, I can't believe you think it's hot here! It's still cold to me until I can turn off my heat and open the windows for the summer.I LOVE the heat.

MN is close to what you want. they have typically 6 mo of winter. their spring and fall seasons are short but their summer has been known to reach into the mid-upper 90s. but don't worry, winter is coming. lol

I have big problems with heat.....especially when temps rise quickly.
Its a bummer going on holiday away from Ireland as well.
It takes me about two weeks to adjust and sure by then its time to come home! LOL!

My first time in Italy was a the holiday from hell. I fainted twice with the heat!
It was my first time abroad....quite frightening.

I've been back to Italy since and cope by swimming twice a day to take my body temp down. I also take salt drinks to hydrate myself when I'm there.

I'm with you on this one girl!

Christine, when you find that place, we'll move there, too! All the older ladies tell me that some day I'll be as cold as they are all the time, but I just can't hardly imagine that!

Simple solution. Re-locate to UK!

When (if) we get summer, it's never really much above 75. And that would be considered a really hot day. We might get a day that's hotter, but that would be considered a heatwave!

When we came to PA and NY a few years ago in May, we LOVED the weather. It was so hot! In the 80s.

Andy was saying just yesterday that we should move to a hot country because Matt just can't cope with the cold and his way of warming himself up is to lick his hands (he won't wear gloves) which warms them for a split second, but then makes them colder. And in the process he gets his face cold and wet, so he permanently has cold, wet, red cheeks and a sore chin. And cold hands. Grrr

Give us hot any day. Fancy a swap!

I'm with Elisha - 75 is perfect! I hate cold and all the hassle of coats and gloves. It takes too long to get ready to go anywhere and harder to carry a baby with all those extra layers! But I'm not super crazy about sweating my butt off either (which doesn't really happen but would be a benefit of hot).

Ok you re-locate here to my house and I'll move into your house. The UK sounds like my kind of weather. **sigh** If it were only that easy.

Hi,
Hate the cold hate the heat. People ask why do you pay so much for rent? Well, growing up near the beach where it's dry low humidity and a breeze but the sun shining makes for a nice wife n mom. We live about 1/4 mile to the beach but on a hill where we get a great breeze. When it's hot in Los Angeles we are about 15-20 degrees cooler. It's nice.. Our year round temp average is I think 70.
Here's a link to out year round average temps

I think I need to retire in Hawaii. Unfortunately, I'm 44 with no savings so the chances of that are slim to none!

Move to Estonia. It rarely ever gets above 70 degrees there. 12 days was pure torture for me. Oskar keep telling me hot is coming and poor boy doesn't realize how hot is gets here. He seems to really love the heat though and already has a nice dark tan!

Northern California Coast. It is a crazy kind of day if it gets to the 70's here. Most of the year it's 50's and 60's--little colder in winter. But, to live here you gotta be okay with lots of fog. Actually, the hotter it gets in the interior of California, the cooler it is here. I don't like it, but it sounds like you might!
