Sorry, I always feel like I'm spamming you guys when I post about my blog but I have two awesome opportunites posted.

A giveaway for Sing Out!, a preschool language development cd and it is open to everyone worldwide - so if you are outside the US and Canada and want a chance to win one of these cd's, go for it! I have always felt so bad for our friends in other countries who don't have the easy access to home therapy supplies so I am over the top with excitement that Katie is being so generous with shipping!

Teachers and therapists are also welcome to enter my giveaways, you don't have to be a public follower and if you contact me through the blog you can enter anonymously.

Links to free, 3 day, handicapped accessible, Christian family retreats in Kentucky. We will be taking our first family vacation in 3 years at a place that was designed for families with Special Needs children.

I am also working on a fundraiser for a local 5 year old with a neuroblastoma. DH's company Terminix has donated a $379 mosquito sentry, and the first raffle entry will be $3, additional entries will be free. I am already running into obstacle with the local promotion, people not doing what they said they would do to help, so please pray that I can pull this off! It's my first fundraiser and I'm learning as I go along.

Number 3 will be up hopefully within the week:

DH's company Terminix, is donating one of their new Mosquito Sentries as the prize, retail value $379, will be shipped anywhere in the U.S.

The fundraiser will be called "1,000 Friends for Alex." Alex is 5 years old. He was adopted by one of our local familes when he was 13 months old. He was in a Russian orphanage with a diagnosis of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. When he was 3 he was diagnosed with Autism. This past Fall, he was diagnosed with a Neuroblastoma.

Alex has had a round of chemo, and tomorrow he will have brain surgery to remove the tumor. Then he still has 11 more months of treatment - 2 more rounds of chemo plus radiation.

Meanwhile, his siblings have been sent to live with his grandparents in another state because Alex has been so sick that they were being shuffled between friends and family.

I thought my first fundraiser was going to be for Reece's Rainbow, but I think it's obvious why God has put this on my heart. The name comes from our goal of raising $3,000. We need 1,000 people to enter the raffle.

The fundraiser will be treated more like a blog giveaway than a raffle - but there will be a $3 donation required to enter. After a donation is made, then there will be additional ways to enter for the Mosquito Sentry. The additional entries will be free.

Here's a link to Alex's Caring Bridge site. Please pray for him tomorrow at noon, central time!

And I forgot - Alex has had major hearing losses from his chemo, but his insurance will not pay for a hearing aid because they don't think that babies and children need hearing aids! So the family now needs $2500 for a hearing aid. Can you believe that?
